I think he looks fine and I prefer it to when he had it really short, which I thought he didn't suit at all. To be honest though, I think he looks best when it's somewhere inbetween the two.

Well, as someone who has been short-sighted, or myopic, since the age of ten (and therefore knows rather a lot about all this stuff), it could be that Mr B is suffering from presbyopia which, afaik, is age-related short-sightedness that can only be corrected by glasses and not contact lenses or ...
