Thanks, after a nervewracking day at work, I needed a good laugh and that definitely supplied a fair amount of laughter.

You afraid to rock my friend?

Tyla's drunken swagger does nothing for you? The Dogs are 100% debauchery fueled rock n roll.

Rhodesia32, I would never have known about Dogs D'Amour, and Tyla had it not been for this wonderful sleaze rock band, (who I have seen live and that singer has a charm about him!)

Introducing the London Quireboys (featuring Spike!!)

(For those who don't know, Spike and Tyla did a couple of projects together a few years back.)

Had a look and listen to all the links - reminds me very much of early Faces and Mott the Hoople.

Sleeze? :) In my opinion, more like Cheese. If I want to hear some band 'rock out', I'll throw on Megadeth's The System Has Failed (a true metal marvel of the modern day) or something by Tool or Alice In Chains...even those who choose to 'rock' should still have the courtesy to allow the listener to use some part of their brain....at the least, the cerebellum, perhaps?
And as far as I am concerned, fully grown men (or women for that part) always do best by themselves to present themselves in a somewhat adult manner, not as pathetically stunted adolescents. so Poseur Rock such as this never fails to elicit laughter from this listener.

TOOL - Pretentious douchebags who have some of the worst fans known to man.

Megadeth - Haven't done anything worth a s**t since Rust In Peace.

Dogs D'Amour are very much the real deal, not poseury in the least.

TOOL - Pretentiously* brilliant musicians who are constantly evolving and have some very nice, sweet and fun fans - thankyouverymuch!

Megadeth - Haven't done anything less than killer, especially Rust In Peace. Metallica only wish they could be half the band.

Dogs D'Amour are very much posurey at it's finest. They posed so much they couldn't even lip sync right. I'm glad you enjoy them, but deffo not for me. Mind, I have been known to enjoy me some good metal.

I fail to see what their trying to pose as. All I see is drunken, debaucherous, RnR....

If you fail to see the greatness of The Dogs, maybe you need to come down from your high horse. Put down the David Snoreian solo albums...

Well, Rhodesia, your certain usage of such a low grade word in your description of Tool only solidifies the initial impression you previously gave. One can only hope you are still in your formative teenage years, due to an obvious inability to maintain a mature level of discourse. If you happen to be over twenty yet refuse to evolve on an emotional and intellectual level, then this could explain why you do indeed enjoy the work of stunted adolescents putting on a third rate act on a third grade level.
To each their own, we all have the right to enjoy what we wish to enjoy and should feel free to do so, and I rarely feel compelled to personally criticize other people and the opinions they hold, but let it be known that I feel your previous derogatory remarks regarding the opinions of others on different threads of this site make it fair game to criticize you and the particular way you choose to make your opinions well known.
I truly hope I do not offend any one else with my remarks.

Must admit, not a fan of the Dogs or Tyla, but I do like the London QuireBoys! Probably surprising for a Sylvian follower, I have their entire back catalogue. Both bands fall into the catagory of "sleaze rock" (and today it seems you have to put every artist in some box, shameful).

Check out the wikipedia link for Sleaze Rock, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleaze_rock

As someone is not in their formative teenage years (left those nearly 20 something years ago - and do not wish to return), I don't see "sleaze rock" as stunted adolescents, they tend to come across as very much a 1960s night out at the boozer band. Heart of David summed up what many of the critics said of the QuireBoys - a reincarnation of Small Faces. (Just out of interest, the QuireBoys also do a mean cover to the Stones classic "Heartbreaker", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkoigsYW-PU)

Don't ask me why but I can hear alot of similarities between the QuireBoys vocals and the early stuff David did. Maybe it is just the vocal range that does it??

Heheheh ok, if you say so. I remember them in the late 80's - they seemed like second rate copyists even back then. Sorry mate. I'll get back to my Snorian albums
