Must admit, not a fan of the Dogs or Tyla, but I do like the London QuireBoys! Probably surprising for a Sylvian follower, I have their entire back catalogue. Both bands fall into the catagory of "sleaze rock" (and today it seems you have to put every artist in some box, shameful).
Check out the wikipedia link for Sleaze Rock,

As someone is not in their formative teenage years (left those nearly 20 something years ago - and do not wish to return), I don't see "sleaze rock" as stunted adolescents, they tend to come across as very much a 1960s night out at the boozer band. Heart of David summed up what many of the critics said of the QuireBoys - a reincarnation of Small Faces. (Just out of interest, the QuireBoys also do a mean cover to the Stones classic "Heartbreaker",

Don't ask me why but I can hear alot of similarities between the QuireBoys vocals and the early stuff David did. Maybe it is just the vocal range that does it??
