First time on white vinyl for David Sylvian's album from 1999. Now expanded with the addition of 4 non-album tracks, The Scent of Magnolia , Albuquerque , Cover Me With Flowers and Aparna and Nimisha .

I'm fascinated why people get excited about vinyl releases - do people really feel strongly that they sound better than the CDs?

Once released I'm sure we'll see inner shots.

They changed the cover to the David+Ingrid b/w pic with a fairly meh redesign by Chris Bigg.
I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am about this hugely lost opportunity to finally experience Shinya’s cover in all the details.
The only exciting thing for me to wait for now is the new tracklist to be published online.

We know the track list - it's the original tracks plus the 4 previously mentioned - which all appeared on Everything and Nothing.

Was really hoping for something new when I heard about this double album.

Sorry, I meant to say I’m curious about how the 4 tracks will be incorporated in the new tracklist - hopefully not as bonuses at the end - and eager to try the “originally meant” DBoaC for myself (but I’m not buying it without Shinya’s cover).

Limited to 1000 for this white vinyl pressing but David has confirmed there will be a black vinyl reissue at a later date as well as a digital reissue - but no new CD.

Huge disappointment with the cover. Nothing wrong w the pic per se, but it was not the cover of the album and it would have been nice to have seen it in full LP size. Odd choice too considering... I will be passing.

Looks more like a "cut and paste where it fits" job.
But I will try listening to the tracks in this order and see if it makes sense.
I'm not particularly against the cover: after all, the original album's photographs clearly spoke of David & Ingrid, married and happy (there are four pictures of David in the booklet, in one he is playing with his wedding ring on his hand; in another he is touching his lips with the wedding ring well in sight on his finger; in a third he is with Ingrid, and it has "for Ingrid" written on it; and in the last he is alone but out of focus, as if to say "without Ingrid I am nothing").
