Via Jansen Blog on Twitter, here's a link to an interview with Steve - on BBC West Midlands radio - starts about 2 hours 35-40 in. It's a nice interview - doesn't really cover the new album, but well worth a listen. Covers the early days, the demise of Japan, Mick and Steve's photography - and includes Bested Bones. Have to say that he sounds like a top bloke, as we'd say in ye olde London Town.
I was lucky to listen to the whole album in Seigen Ono's studio shortly before the release announcement a couple of days ago. It is a very strong, cohesive album of songs with one instrumental. One of the vocal numbers features an extended instrumental coda which is simply stunning. The album successfully merges pop music with more challenging sounds and arrangements. Definitely worth the wait.
