COLLEGE QUESTION

Postby sexandpolitics on Thu Oct 05, 2006 8:48 pm

Hello my Japan lovers.

I am in the process of making a list of colleges that I want to apply to (as it is my senior year in highschool) and was wondering if any of you would like to make suggestions.

My number one choice is to go to school in England, preferably London. However, I am not too educated on what kind of "international" student programs there are. Also, I know there are American Universities all over the world but is there such thing as an "American University of London"?

Any questions, suggestions, and tips are welcome!

(FYI, I currently live about an hour North of Seattle, Washington)

THANKS!!! Ja ne, friends!

I don't know anything about schools in England, sorry.

But, one of my friends is currently at Webster University in St. Louis, which is an international uni. From what I know, they have a campus in London. They've other campuses as well, however. Do you have a Fastweb account? As far as I know, that's the best way to get college recommendations. You select things that you'd want in a college and it returns a list of suggestions to you.

middlesex university (I think) is the largest uni in the UK. I think it has an exchange course. I don't vouch for the quality of the courses, of course.

there is an international school in london.... it deals with a lot of schools in the usa and has crossover programs. As stated above though I have no idea the quality of the course work. It is going to entirely depend upon what your studying. It would be good if you did some research and speak to students in the programs your interested in. Most school's admissions offices will put you in touch with students so you can speak to them about their take on the school. Research is your best bet.
