For The Love Of Life I can see being difficult to license, Linoleum is a superb track but wouldn't fit the mood of the album so i can see why Pure Genius was preferred.

Interesting point. But if the Lawyers respresenting the Beckett estate were so concerned with public performance of his works remaining strictly as the playwright stipulated, (and he was VERY strict and particular about his work - remind you of anyone?) wouldn't they have put some kind of injunction on Sylvians' live performance of "Wasn't I Joe" back in 2004? Would he have had to seek permission to use the sample? If not - fine, but if he did need permission would that have had to come from the Beckett estate or from the BBC or whichever TV/radio company owns the recording he took the sample from? The Beckett estate is notorious for refusing permission to use material.
It's possible they won't let him use the sample.

.I hope that is the case, and if so, all is good.
