Happy new year to everyone on the sight, sorry have not been for a few months due to personal things in my life,
of which i am not going to go into,anyway Davids album has been out for nearly 4 months now, does anybody have any
personal favs on this,here is my personal favs.

That is how I program my cd player then the rest to follow. The second half of Emily Dickinson makes me so emotional that I just don't understand it. But it gets to me every darn time.

Hello my favourites keep changing but there is something poignant about Greatest Living Englishman for me. I also adore Emily Dickinson and Manafon but have probably listened to Small Metal Gods the most. The track I like to play to people who don't know Sylvian is Rabbit Skinner

I start the album at Random acts.then jump to 125 spheres running through to the end......manafon is just a joy..simlar to Fire in the Forest from Blemish

Cant listen to the Rabbit Skinner or Englishman..oops sorry

cant get my head round the Rabbit Skinner or The Greatest Living Englishman maybe cause i am Scottish with the

I must admit I played Snow White to death when I first heard it so don't listen to it much now. That said, I'm still listening to Manafon more than any other Sylvian album at the moment.

Yeah Simon i was the Same with Snow White in Appalachia, when it was on Davids official site,played it till i got tired of it so i will get back to it at some point

Last week I met Otomo Yoshihide and talked a little.
he was very kind man.
He said David was very handsome (Yes you know!), and calm person.
'Random Acts Of Senseless Violence' and 'The Greatest Living Englishman' are excellent performance, he said, if I right.

I haven't listened to it since the week after I bought it. I'm waiting until the time is right and hoping that it will connect w me when I return to it. I'm such a fan. Loved Blemish (save for the Bailey tracks) and I like Small Metal Gods, Emily D., and Snow White...it just hasn't seemed to sink into my psyche enough to be on the high rotation play list. It' s not that it's "difficult" or "challenging", for me. I just can't connect w it very much. Perhaps the switch from 1st person to 3rd.. makes the emotional impact differnt...like he's telling a camp fire story. Won't give up on it though and I'm glad that he continues to challenge.

I listened to it for the first time 2 days ago. I bought it back in September but have waited until now. I was almost dreading it! It wasn't as "challenging" an experience as I thought it might be. In fact, I found it easier to listen to than "Blemish" (which I love) because it was less personal. Sometimes when listening the "Blemish" I feel I should ask David's permission before pressing "play"!!!
