LOL! Wow! Thank you so much Gods for sharing this - y'know The Chauffeur was ALWAYS one of my favourite DD tracks and this is just excellent. However, I have to express my doubts about Simon's vocal contribution in parts. He sounds a little, err, flat in places a case of "discordant rhyme?" ;-)

Never heard of the Sneaker Pimps before, like their version.

Got me thinking what it would have been like if Japan were doing a cover song on stage and the original artist came out to join them - Don't Rain on My Parade and out walks Barbra Streisand. Maybe in another universe...

when is simon ever 100% on target? That is the charm of his vocals. I think the harmonies are terrific in this rendition.

And in some alternative universe japan probably are still together and making great music. And ,in another universe there never was a japan... now that is a universe I am happy I don't live in.

Can't say, I've heard much of Sneaker Pimps after their first album (when they had a female singer, but she was allegedly booted out in favour of Chris)

Hmmm that reminds me of a Podcast I was planning with a sneaker pimps track on the list....

sorry, but I just have to mention it. I don't like it. and I never understood D2.
my older brother has all the records, so I heard the songs through the thin wall in our house.
maybe that filtration made it sound dull or something, I don't know.
or maybe it was just the fact that I didn't wanna listen to the same things as my brother.
I was faithful to Japan and David Sylvian...
