Alas I've never seen any of them live but will be getting my booty into gear if Nine Horses tours....
Me too!
I'm with Kinki here...as soon as that time machine gets cranked up, I am going to zip back and see the Japan concerts I was never able to see back in the day. You see, I lived in Michigan when I first became a fan and they never came there...I have never lived in the right place at the right time, it seems.
However, I did see Rob Dean twice, once with Vivabeat in '83 and once with Gary Numan the following year. The first time we met him, he was very nice and a bit quiet -- he signed my copy of Rock Show and I seem to recall asking him a few questions about Japan and his leaving, etc -- too bad I can't remember now what he said, but he did seem to be okay about it all, or maybe it was all water under the bridge by then?
The next year when we met him again, it was so much fun -- he ended up drinking with us after the show and I really don't recall much as a result, except that there was a lot of laughing and he was very congenial and festive company.

I really wish now that I could remember what was said (I do remember he was drinking White Russians if anyone cares

) that night. I have a sick feeling I may have drunkenly pestered him for info re: Steve but hey, I was young and goofy -- and had probably had one too many vodka tonics.

These are years with a genius for living.
