Former Japan members seen naked

Postby anortherncod on Sun Mar 23, 2008 8:22 am

... by their parents, wives and girlfriends, and possibly the odd midwife or two!

Now that's got your attention... has anyone else noticed it's very quiet over here lately? Has something happened that I don't know about? Surely we can all type with one hand while holding an Easter egg in the other? (At least those of us who have Easter eggs. I've not got one. :( )

Shock tactics eh? Hmmm, it has been rather quiet around here lately. Especially stateside - whats going on over there? Surely you can't all be that engrossed by the presidential campaigns? Maybe we need to start a new thread that really provokes debate?

Just thought I'd post MK :smt049 for you Natasha coz he'd cheer you up a bit, since you missed out on the Easter Egg Bunny  , Oh OK, it's really for my benefit, so I'd better include RB too ...

Oh, you spoil me. Since my first egg-cellent post my partner returned home with a Creme Egg, so I am doubly spoilt. Yum!

But I did notice that up to now there have been 14 views of this topic and only 1 reply. I also know that there are some people who have been elsewhere in the virtual world - they like a band called Hedgehog Bush, I think - but not here. Arriving somewhere but not here, in fact :D. Does the space travelling one have a point? Do people only like posting about controversy? See, that's controversial in itself!

Maybe everyone's suffering from some strange and as yet undiagnosed disease caught from eating far too many Easter Eggs, some weird lactose, gluten, glucose, cocoa, Easter-eggie intolerance which leaves the sufferer unable to formulate a cohesive response to the threads on this forum: they can read, they can type, they can scroll with the mousepad, they can even do the odd bit of clicking, but can they formulate a reply - NO. How many Easter eggs have you consumed so far? I've partially eaten one so maybe I shall remain unaffected by the Easter-eggie disease  Or maybe they're all pi**ed ... More wine anyone???

Hehe Sorry it's been quiet!

Matt and I visited with Matt's family in Fargo for a few days... But we're back now!

Hope everyone had a great weekend...

 Well Kera, if it had been, maybe it would have solicited more responses!!!

For my part, after my Creme Egg, I polished off half a bottle of wine, yet can still type :D Maybe it's because my wine was DOC :-D Ever since that post Despair made about Aldi wine, I have an image of him/her in a bedsit in Rusholme, south Manchester. Now, is that controversial...?

I am reminded of ye olde dayes when I used to read Bamboo and there were editorials along the lines of "this magazine isn't just two people's views, it's for everyone, so contribute". And seeing as how my partner is now watching Match Of The Day I'll close in the style of Delia Smith... let's be 'aving you!!!

I have to admit that I have been coming home, scrolling messages and not reading long posts. I always leave those for later and then I never have the time to go back... With dad in hospital life is a bit more complicated!

Also here is Easter hols, so dunno about the rest of the world, but many people might be on hols!

How is your dad doing Sis?

It's Easter holidays here as well - at least for me - but in my case that means I can spend even MORE time on forums!!!

Dad is doing better, thanks! He might be home tomorrow :D

I just meant that many people tend to go on trips away from home on hols. In my case my hols start tomorrow. I have been working non-stop these days!

I guess I have been feeling like I don't have much to say... Think it is still a bit of a let down after David's tour ending or something. I don't really know.

Sis I hope you're dad recovers very soon.

This is a completely value-free question, I promise, but do you mean that you feel let down after the tour (the post-tour blues, I mean) or that the forum is a let down because after the tour no one has that much to say? Just curious. I do definitely recognise those post-tour blues.

Thanks so much :D

Natasha, you weren't here on the tour, but the fans from the US were very disappointed that the tour didn't go there. Guess that's the blues that Gods refers to.

Ha ha no i didn't mean the boards are a let down. If you take a look i've been here a long time with over 1000 posts... so it is definitely not the boards. I think the fact that David releases new information so rarely is the let down. I feel like a starving child... like oliver twist "Please, sir, may I have some more?" And the big bad man laughing in my face at the request.

Oh yes, I can see you've been here some time, I didn't mean any offence.

But I completely understand what you mean about lacking regular releases or anything. My response over the years has been twofold:

1. Initially listening to music which had absolutely no connection with Japan or the former members at all; and then subsequently

2. which I've mentioned about six million times before, listening to PT and stuff by the other members who aren't Sylvian - seeing as how they sometimes seem to be more industrious in the studio. This is one reason why I've said elsewhere that those of us who are only interested in Sylvian's solo output are missing out. But then if people can't get into the rest, they can't, can they?
