reiki is an an ancient form of energy healing. I just act as a conduit for directing the universal energy force for use in healing and attunement.
Chakras, sanskrit meaning wheel, the chakras are subtle energy "wheels" within the body. There are seven major chakras that are dealt with normally. Each is represented by petals on the lotus flower and specific colours. These energy wheels control/balance how we as human and spiritual beings operate in the world. It is important that these wheels be balanced to keep us functioning in our healthy/proper way. The wheels can become "muddied", too large, too small, spin to fast or too slowly. That is what clearing is meant to help with.... a person should never allow another to "open" their chakras, but clearing and balancing can be aided by others trained in the field. Again a practitioner channels the universal energies and just helps in directing it to their client.
