If he plans this as his last ever tour, I would hold out even less hope that he is coming to the States.
I would imagine the possibility of him closing out his last ever tour in N America are rather slim, and like the Japan tour, would imagine it would conclude in Asia.

Without hope the world is lost. I plan to keep hope alive thank you very much.

I will be even more sore if it does in fact turn out to be his last and he doesn't add N America.
After travelling around in Eurpoe while I lived in London to see him, and also travelling to London from Chicago for the AFITF tour I will not be best pleased!

the concert last for 2 hours.

tha Svd article referred to can be fond on
http://www.svd.se/dynamiskt/noje/did_17053687.asp but again, unless you are Scaninavian it's useless.

what he says in the end is (to me) however slightly contradictory (the translation is in no way perfect):

"DS also states that there will be no more touring in the future.
-I say this after every tour, but now I have planned for a year that will be the case. This tour is closure. To me it feels like this is the last time I play the old material.
When we are finished touring I will return to the solo album I began working on after Blemish."

Well, to me the man probably will be on the road some time soon after that brilliant album of his comes out :). Ok, maybe not. But lets not be all miserable. He can go on tour and play new material. That is fine by me.

He also plans not to do interviews anymore. Since his music is so naked, it is difficult to discuss it without simplification and speculation (referring to Blemish). All he really wants to say is said in his work.
Then he is talking about pop as an easy seduction and how he wants to do music that is more timeless and doesn't wear out as fast as pop music does these days.

is it just me or does he want (or does) live in a vacuum of his own creation? I don't know... seems all a bit depressing to me.
Life is so short and each of us is different but it seems rather bleak they way he describes his future.
Then again holding no attachment to the past, the present and the future is one of his mantras. By holding attachment you can't truly be present in the experience.... hhmmm deep thoughts....

Don't forget the man lost his wife and children. That's going to take it's toll emotionally and psychologically. I wouldn't know how I'd recover from that. The fact he stands, sings and plays in front of an audience is pretty remarkable in itself. If it was me, I'd have run far, far away.

ummm it isn't like they died... they got a divorce. From my understanding they are still friends and he still sees his children. Travelling as much as he does and with the kids school schedules I'm sure none of them see each other as much as they used to or as much as they would all like to.
He is doing his job getting on stage.... we all go to jobs after traumatic situations. We all bear ourselves to others and have to be exposed to them after such an event. It isn't easy, it takes time and patience, but it is life.
I just think he is incredibly like me and absorbs others energies which drain him both physically and mentally, so he prefers to limit his exposure. I know as a university instructor experiencing this it is sooooo draining to be up in front of a class having to "perform". I can't even imagine how exhausting it is to be an actual performer.
But having said that we both chose our professions... so ... hhhmm food for thought at any rate.

If Clapton can perform "Tears In Heaven" live, which less face it must be far more traumatic then what most of us have gone through, think Mr S will be doing just fine.

It is great reading all the reviews of the shows so far. I thought I had got over not being able to get to any concerts, (it is a bit difficult when you are in NZ - whether it is London or Toyko airfares alone are around $2500NZ - and that is cattle class.) But no, just want to say you lucky, lucky things getting to see what could be the last series of concerts.

It will be a shame if the rumour/comments of this being the final tour are true. Maybe there could be one off shows sometime in the future, you always got to live in hope right?

Regarding David and the divorce thing, it is a rough thing to go through (been there, got the T-Shirt), I didn't have kids don't really know if I could have coped as well as I did if I had. I found being able to talk to people the best form of therapy to get through all the ups and downs that divorce bring. I hope that David has found some outlet that works for him, you can not let the event consume the remainder of your life.

Does anyone here know how much the tour brochure is (pref. in Euro's) AND how many were made? I'm going on October 4th, so won't they be sold out by then? SamadhiSound states that it's limited...

300 DKK, which should be about 35 euro, maybe a bit more.

i think they are saying it is limited so people will snap them up and they won't be left with lots of stock to get rid of on the website. I'm sure there is enough for the entire tour.... not to worry :-).
