LOL! And polyester!

The 70s were good musically - most of the New Wave and New Romantic bands were heavily influenced by disco. And of course glam and punk. Wouldn't have been any NW and NR bands if it wasn't for all that.

It was a great era for metal too.

Yeah, Frederick's is still around. We have one here. It's so fun to browse- my best friend and I went in search of a gag gift for one of our friends, lol. Er, we couldn't contain ourselves after awhile (due to an inside joke we share, but those crotchless underwear weren't exactly helping) and had to leave.

I was born in the '80s so I can't exactly remember a lot, but all the fashion seemed to bleed into the early '90s. I had so many pairs of Keds... my favorite were a black pair with this horrid neon flower print. But they matched everything! So I thought, lol.

Too bad I chose to be born in the 90s, my parents just had to wait those extra 6 years after getting married in '86...

At least they have pictures, where my dad looks almost like Adam Ant...

Aren't crotchless underwear a staple in every woman's wardrobe?

God, I remember Keds when they weren't cool, they were just about the only brand available back in the 60s. Because they were so blah, white being about the only choice for girls, we would exchange the laces for colored yarn (those hair tie things, forgot what they were called).
