At work I can just listen with one side of the headphones on, can't be totally isolated :? But at least it helps to pass the time faster!

well hhmmm..... not sure what i think of them... except andy isn't part of it so something to me is missing. Night Runner sounds like a Justin Timberlake song.... very disco 80s.
Not sure if I like the other or not.... simon is singing in a tone i never did like his voice in. Sorry I love duran but i am very picky about what i like of theirs. I don't think everything they do is some wonderful accomplishment (Hello, Pop Trash and Medazzaland).
Yup having andy leave really did .... set them back I think. Oh well.... have to give the rest of the album a try.

Well I don't have the falling down track but the Night Runner one I'm not crazy about. It's doing nothing for me, I'm afraid. Shame - these guys can write great songs, but sometimes it seems as if they really don't know who they are playing for - are they a club band, a rock band, serious soulsters or what?

I mean sometimes they get the mix right - I loved Astronaut and only skip two tracks. Stuff like the title track is what I could live without. Having said that I love Bedroom Toys - just a fun track and I love the fun side of them, sometimes I think they just miss the mark. Where they really grab me is with the more atmospheric things. Finest Hour is my favourite Astronaut track, but I really like the last few songs on the album. Since everyone seems to say they followed Japan anyway, maybe Simon should move on and continue the trend lowering his register like Sylvian did. His voice seems so fit for it.

Medazzaland I could give or take, Pop Trash I think was sure brilliance. But I'm rambling now. I truely hope the whole album is not all like this Night Runner track. Bleh.

progrl i am totally with you on how dd seems to almost always just miss the mark. I agree they don't know who they are. It is almost as if they want to be something they just aren't and aren't happy unless they are fitting into what is "hot" at the moment. Which to me is sad. I really think they should make the music that makes them happy.
Sorry to say but I think Pop Trash is that exactly ... trash. I am absolutely NOT a fan of warren's and he had WAY too much influence on that album. To me he was never and will never be a real member of that band. But, to each his/her own, right?

I agree that i hope the entire album isn't like night runner. Oye....
