What's been the high points (and low points) of the year for you. It can be your favourite album, most disappointing film, best live show

My fave album - Steve Jansen (Slope)
Best live gig - David Sylvian Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
Favourite book - A Spot Of Bother - Mark Haddon
Low point - my mother being unwell

Best Music - Great new releases by Blackfield, Bass Communion, David, Steve, Nine Horses, Fripp, Sakamoto/Fennesz, Duran Duran, Gavin Harrison, Porcupine Tree and The Lilac Time - my nod for favorite goes to Steve's "Slope."
Best Books - Grotesque by Hatsuo Kirino, Ysabel by Guy Gavriel Kay, The Mirador by Sarah Monette and After Dark by Harumi Murakami
Low Point - one of my best friends died in her sleep last April from an undiagnosed heart condition - she was only 44.
Hallucinating lucidity

What a good year!

Postby Waves on Thu Dec 13, 2007 4:30 am

2007 is for me the year of finally having more time for myself (being a mum) and after 20 years discovering Sylvian/Japan all over again. Been very lucky (and in heaven still) seeing David and his band in Amsterdam.

And the silverline of my adoration of the music of David Sylvian and Japan is looking at this fantastic site with all the history to catch up.

Thank you, Kera!!!

hmmmmm best of 2007???

Well, the most important thing and not just the best thing that happened in 07, but in my life, was meeting Kera, aka Silver Moon, and falling in absolute love with her :-)

other things:

Best Music?

Well I completely discovered David Sylvian this year so that's number one!

Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank Planet and Nil Recurring

Radiohead's In Rainbows

Devin Townsend's Ziltoid the Omniscient

Bass Communion - Loss

Blackfield II

and so many more but I'll stop there :-D

Best gig:

I saw them four times, but the best show would be seeing Porcupine Tree in Nashville!

Best movie:

I didn't see any new movies I don't think this year...but I did see a lot of movies I hadn't seen, favorites being.....Night On Earth and Eraserhead.

^^^ :-D /

The best and worst thing of 2007 happen to be the same thing and also quite possibly the best and worst things ever in my life.

Honourable best - the last four PT shows and the friends I spent them with.

Honourable worst - the last 3-4 months, particularly this Christmas season.
Trust the proggrl.
