My new album

Postby John Trevethan on Sun Oct 28, 2007 12:33 pm

I'm getting ready to release a CD of new music under the title of SecondaryCell - it's probably not most member's "cup-of-tea" on this forum, however since others have announced their releases here I thought I would give it a shot. The musical style falls somewhere under the IDM / down-tempo umbrella - it's electronic and instrumental (except for various spoken word samples).

The entire release is available as a streaming preview from the Last.fm player located on the lower right of the SecondaryCell MySpace page.

At the very least, if you would like to add SecondaryCell as a MySpace friend I would certainly appreciate it... simply click the button below:

Thanks!

Dude, I'm definitely enjoying this. I dig the drums on the intro to Vacuum tube. Reminds of the drums used on Depeche Mode's Songs of Faith and Devotion and Gary Numan's Exile album.

You've got a nice pallette of sounds too.

Thanks Gods... I appreciate your support!

It will be available in iTunes, but it takes quite a bit of time to work into their system. Sometimes as long a three months, I've been told....

I just realized that my album is also available in MP3 format from CD Baby (the link just appeared on my page a little while ago).

I read the details about how CD Baby handles digital downloads and was very impressed, no DRM encoding in the songs, no expirations on the download page, high quality files, etc. Check it out here:

http://cdbaby.com/mp3

PS: My intention in not to further plug my release here (done that enough), just offering a heads up about the integrity of CD Baby. So far, a really together company.

in my opinion go ahead and plug all you want. The more information we have the better prepared we are for purchasing

Thanks Stoobie!

I've been following Patrick O'hearn's career since his days at Private Music, so I guess he has been an influence. It's also interesting that he moved to Nashville (where I'm located) a few years ago.
