Any Bond fans here? Favourite Bond? Favourite Bond film? I can't wait to see Casino Royale. Think Daniel Craig will do a fantastic job in the role.

Well, not a mega bond fan. In fact, i probably haven't seen many of them since the Spy Who Loved Me.

There is of course only one Bond. Mr Connery.

I am definitely going to see the new one. Daniel Craig is a fine actor and the trailer looks ace

Abso-tootinrootin-ly!!!!!!!! Love Bond - all of 'em except for the TD years. Snoooooooze! Most of the PB ones were good, but I grew up with Roger Moore and he'll always be my fave, but you can't deny Connery as the definitive Bond. Faves are: Octopussy, On Her Magesty's Secret Service (yup, loved GL too, wish he continued!) and A View to a Kill (for obvious reasons, although I was a Bond fan before a Duran fan).

The new one looks great and I agree DC was a very good choice. Think he'll do well. Very much looking forward to the 17th when it opens here. :D

Up for some Bond trivia?
Who is the only actor to make a contribution to three Bond films and never as the same character?

Are you thinking of Maud Adams? I know actors have come back as other characters, but not three that I can think of. MA was the only Bond girl to appear as two different bond girls, but she was also seen in AVtaK. Don't know if that constitutes a 'character' though. I'm thinking, I'm still thinking.

I didn't know Maud Adams was in A View to a Kill, in which scene?
hope the character reference didn't put you off to much as I was thinking of Charles Gray who appears in You Only Live Twice/Diamonds are Forever and provides the "voice" at the evening pyramid scene in The Spy Who Loved Me

Talking of Maud Adams she is the recipient of one of Roger Moore's best lines "Who knows he may even use one of those golden bullets on you, and that would be a pity because they are very expensive"

Will be interesting to see hwo Daniel Craig will do. I hope he will be a more unforgiving Bond; mean and moody. Mind you, that didn't help Timothy Dalton!

Craig was in my favourite TV series of all time; "Our Friends From the North", which was about the corruption in the (old) Labour Party. The series traced a group fo 4 friends from the late 1960's through to the mid 90's when it was aired, their changing fortunes set against the 'happenings' of the times, (i.e. the Miner's Strike - Thatcher boo! hiss!). Originally a play staged at the National Theatre in the 1970's then adapted (15 years in development) for TV.

Thoroughly recommened if you have the chance to buy it on DVD, (not sure it's still available - but the BEST, most well written, intelligent British drama serial ever, ever, ever!).

I am a HUGE bond fan... I do have to say thought I'm a fan more of the books. Casino Royale being one of my all time favourite bond novel. I am really excited to see this made into a real bond movie instead of it being that silly spoof with Peter Sellers.
I personally liked the Timothy Dalton years ... he was closest to the book's character up to that point. I did enjoy the Pierce Brosnan years as he was incredibly close to the novel's but with a bit more humour.
I am not sure if i'll see the new one in the theaters or wait for renting it. We'll have to see. I prefer being alone to watch a film.

Erm... the only Bond film I've seen is A View to a Kill, and that's just because DD did the theme song, ha ha. But I do want to see more. I plan on seeing Casino Royal, I'm just waiting for my friends to come back into town for the holiday.
