The Human League - Travelogue

Anyone a fan of this album?
I bought it recently and I love its experimentalism!
People used to knock the 80's but wasnt that such a time of progressive
forward thinking music, rather than the last 15 years of retro pop in the UK.

You know, what decade or style can we copy this year etc?

I don't believe I have heard any Human League before Dare, except for one song on the recent release from Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, which is a compilation of dance music from their days at the Rum Runner club in Birmingham.

A very different band before Dare, less Pop I would say.

As for John Foxx, yes I have read about him and wondered, I will definetly check it out.

sweetie are you joking???? they had some very big hits in the 80s. Especially their tune "don't you want me".

Yes but 'Dont you want me' is on 'Dare' so I think Krausy means they have not heard the 2 albums prior to Dare which are quite different as the
I dont think the girls were singing with them then and after thoose 2 albums founding members left to form 'Heaven 17' and maybe another band as well?
