Great album that should be in my player more often that it has done so fare. Love to hear this one in 5.1 surround.

Currently listening to Vermont, a project from Marcus Worgull (Innervisions) and Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble). They are joined by Can-drummer Jaki Liebezeit and Dominik Von Senger (Phantom Band). This is quite a surprise: spacy, trippy, elegant, instrumental. Sometimes like The Album Leaf combined with sounds in the vein of the 1976-project Absolute Elsewhere, featuring Paul Fishman (later Re-Flex), drummer William Bruford (yes, the same one that played with Yes, U.K., King Crimson and his own bands), Philip Saatchi and Jon Astrop.

Good stuff QV. I need to check these guys out. The Baths have a new ep coming out this week. They have one of the tracks on soundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/anticon/baths-ocean-death/

That Steve Wilson record is great. I wonder what he's up to next? PTree seems to be on permanent hold.

This is from 'I' by Kaukasus (Ketil Vestrum Einarsen, Rhys Marsh, Mattias Olsson). Good album.

Received this one too this week. There's a nice interview on their site about the "how" and "why's" and some lovely close-ups on the used instruments.
I like the album, mainly because it's quiet unpredictable. There's a lot of ambient stuff on it and some really scary moments will keep the listener awake! Great voice from Rhys Marsh (again).

Just listened to Molvær's latest recording, Switch. Good title, great music! There's a change in the sound of Molvær, especially because of the intensive use of the pedal steel-guitar.

I heard this for the first time yesterday, i thought it was rather lovely, very Elizabeth Frazer/4 AD (turns out it was released on 4AD) which is no bad thing. I hope you enjoy. The band is Camera Obscura and the track is "Cri du Coeur"
PS I'm missing Chad. (Seriously)

Eno * Hyde - High Life

Admittedly, I was not too impressed with the vocal contributions - with the exception of the wacky processed Dolly Parton-like singing over the laid back foundational reggae groove of Time To Waste It.
so I've simply edited the vocal sections out of selected songs, then included a few instrumental bonus cuts from Someday World and the result is a pleasurable mixture, somewhat akin to an updated Bush Of Ghosts...minimalism and afro-rhythmic ostinatos.

The Antlers: Familiars

Reminds me of Patrick Watson with the trumpet from Calexico and a bit of Anthony.

Last year Molvær also released the album "1/1" with electronics-specialist Moritz von Oswald. I guess this is his most down-beat album he has ever released. Very relaxed and atmospheric. "Transition" is the longest track.
