no connection, I lived not too far away in a picturesque little village called
'Feltham' , home of those funny little creatures called 'Numanoids'.

Back in the early 90s when raving 'peaked' unless you lived within London's boroughs it was very hard to pick up pirates as back then there wasn't any outside of London (in this part of the country anyway), so when we 'Green Apple' came onto the scene we were a godsend to people
in places like
Slough (obviously)
West Drayton
Uxbridge
Bedfont
Staines etc.

When we played out at Clubs we were treated like Heroes!
Great Fun.

Just checked your pic, I remember how much hairspray I used to have to use to achieve a similiar look and the stuff was lethal then, it stank of alcohol.

Just started "Dancer from the Dance" by Andrew Holleran, about the gay scene in New York and Fire Island during the late 70s. Someone recommended this to me. The writing is a bit overblown and there are a lot of run-on sentences.

I read a lot of manga, currently enjoying the "Cafe Kichijouji" series.

It's a little dry, to be honest, but it has good information. (It's not about sex, btw.)

what a thread...........I need to get out my pen & paper & jot some of these titles down...........................

I just finished 'Nobody Here Gets Out Alive' a bio about Jim Morrison with the worst ending...................some speculation about him still being alive & it ended crudely & abruptly...........I get sucked in & this just sucked me dry............but the rest was beautiful, as usual.......I've read so much already about him.............

...............Jim....you know...there are just some people that you feel a strange connection to......an energy......like you know them/knew them in some lives before..........& truly misunderstood & brilliantly dark & fascinating man..........who talked about a lot of what also runs in my heart..........I find so many connections......understand him so well.

Really, I prefer the book by Stephen Davis, but it's worth it.......to go on a trip, a ride into another realm of magic & chaos & dance..........wow....

Also, I recommend his poetry...........if you want your mind blown & your energies frisked & your senses to come alive......Jim's poetry.....go for it!
He gave Jesus tattoos...........& took the devil's soul.........he got the angels drunk.........& gave them the gutter for a home...................

Has anyone read any of the poems by Rainier Marie Rilke? They are wonderful and full of love. Also, has anyone read any of Eckhart philosophy? I took a medieval philosophy class and Master Eckhart was one of our readings. It is wonderful.

I'm now reading Ascended Masters by Doreen Virtue and I'm going to start a Reiki healing I book later.

I just love Rilke. He's one of the greatest writers , not only in German literature but in European Literature History. Everyone would have to know him. It's just wonderful.

Rilke is one of my all-time favorite poets (the other one being W.B. Yeats). Everyone should read Rilke.

I've just read a book about the Titanic. I wouldn't recommend it as the ending was so predictable...
