A New Wave fan says hello

Hi my name is Dennis coming from Germany and a huge New Wave fan, I just start to listen to Japan some weeks ago, when If irst heard Gentlemen Take Polaroids I knew they were something special, so I bought some of their albums, also I was wondering why the band was named after that specific Country, was there a particular reason for that? In what respect was the sound of the band influenced by it.

Well, I hope to finde some real new wave fanatics here I'm always open for a chat,
