About me .... what can i say???
like many of you i feel very stock from the Avant Gard work of Japan and most of all for Mr. Sylvian ... He is an inspiration day by day
He is the one i admire Most , the Most talentous Musician in this Planet !
Sadly i did not have the chance to know Japan when i was younger cause i started to listening music just at 1984 when i was 12 ....life is unfair!
So i started to listening Mr. Sylvian at 1993 the year of the release of
The First Day's album.
Inmediately my favorite song from it was "Brightness Fall"
In fact the first album i bought it was this cause i just want to listening
this song millions of times.
The second album i got was "Gone To Earth" .... i ended not believing
what i was listened .... Amazing !!!!! "Wave", "Silvermoon",
"Laughter & Forgetting", "Before the Bullfight" almost made me Cry ....
At the same time one local radio station got a live show of Japan
(Hammersmith Odeon 7th February) i guess destiny put this in my way lol!
Wow !!! i just wanted to scream & shout when i heard this sounds
this music ... i feel fascinated inmediately i loved inmediately the
Mr. Sylvian's voice and that magic bass player ... such a great sounds Mick Karn is very talentous just like the rest of the boys
Steve jansen and Richard Barbieri and Rob Dean of Course!
I recorded that live show in a tape that i heard and heard for many
years how could i forget songs from it like: My New Career (one of
my favorites) or Taking Island To Africa or Gentlemen take Polaroids
or Swing or Alien ..... woooww all the songs !!!!
At 1994 a Local radio station got almost a Week ( Monday to Thursday) with the music of Mr.Sylvian and not just the music also an interview so at the same time got the chance to heard many of His Catalogue just in one Week! ( i found there were many songs i liked but didn't know it was His
work..)
Since that time i have been listening and enjoying Japan & Mr. Sylvian
and for me it's wonderful to have this site for sharing with you all
the most i like and Love.
I hope to have the chance to know many Niece people here!
Thank you All!
Nabiky B.
