My New Career......................

What a track................a seamless piece of crafted beauty written and performed at a time when the band were clearly at their creative peak............

"Still Life In Mobile Homes", with "Visions Of China" a close second.

Gentlemen Take Polaroids !
The lyrics, his voice and the ending sequence of music (the last 2 mins of so) makes me melt!

Tough call. For me it would either be Methods of Dance or Nightporter

i dont really listen to Japan very much these days and there are only a certain amount of tracks that i can still listen to. My favourite would have to be Taking Islands In Africa !

I never tire of listening to Japan and I hope I never do. Sometimes I'll take a lengthy break purposely because I know when I take it up again it will seduce me once more.

Choosing a favourite is very difficult as there are so many tracks that I love particularly Ghosts, Gentlemen Take Polaroids, Swing, My New Career, Taking Islands in Africa but I guess if pushed I'd have to say Quiet Life as it's what drew me in in the first instance.

Yeah, I do that with most bands or songs I like alot. Take a break for that reason. It makes listening to them again so worth the wait!

Favourite Japan track? Difficult because I've never really been into them. At a push I'd say

Taking islands in Africa
My New Career

"Sons of Pioneers". Bass, drums, synths and voice. Japan at the zenith of creative power. No question.
