Hmm know what you mean Anne, I sometimes listen to it and think...oh just finish so 'Alien' can come on....daft really, because it really is a stunning cover.

I love 'All tomorrows parties'. It's a great cover. I think they were very good in making covers.

This was a hard decision....but i went for Fall In Love With Me - simple because of Davids voice in this song, which is just perfection. I could have chosen all of the songs for all different reasons but when david sings 'oh my..' it always makes me smile :-)

It was a hard choice between "Fall in love with me" "Quiet life" and "All tomorrows parties!"

I almost went with Fall In Love With Me, it's very special to me, as it's the very first Japan song I ever heard. :D Then again, this whole album is special. I could listen to it repeatedly for hours on end.

Yes I could listen to it for hours too - and I thoroughly agree with the earlier comment about covers - Japan always gave covers a new twist and made the songs sound original.

Nope- I can't change votes. Sorry. Maybe someone who hasn't voted yet and would vote "Tomorrows Parties" will vote "The Other Side of Life" For you.

In Vogue, because of the song itself and because of the particular memories it evokes for me.
These are years with a genius for living.

i chose vogue as it is a great example of davids vocal, on my remastered version of the album the track a foreign place stands out as being slightly hissy, is it my player or has anyone noticed this as well?

Hard to pick a fave, but methinks "Halloween" wins the category of "Most Convincing Imitation of 'Siren'-era Roxy Music" (and I most certainly mean that as a compliment!).

Such a tough question...I was really stereotypical and went for Quiet Life I was so confused though because I do love Alien and Halloween so much...

I went for Quiet Life because I dunno I like the energy of it and it was the first Japan track I ever heard so I have spent longer with it in my head than the others....

Where life clings to your hands
Like water and sand
Will loose it's way when you're gone"

Quiet Life. I first saw them on TOTP performing this song - and it was love at first sight. :D
