Ultimate Line up for this reunion would be -

Sylvian - Vocals
jansen - Drums (doing some Dolphin brothers tunes too and maybe 'Stay close)?
Rich on Synths
John taylor on Bass
Nick Rhodes on inflatable keyboard
kate bush on occasional lead vocals
peter murphy doing a guest spot
masami and Sandi dancing at the side
bryan ferry Djing
Sal Solo on backing vocals
Steven Dante rapping

The whole thing MC'd by Simon napier bell

Pete Murphy definitely gets my vote there! Quality choice!!

Anytime that I happen to hear that song, I still can't believe that the guitarist is John Goodsall, who gained prominence amongst fusionoids while with Brand X. Diversity is quite respectable, but sometimes how a musician goes from one extreme to another doesn't seem to compute. :-)

BUT who am I kidding, if they did get back together it'd be the HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE :-D
...it's still not going to happen though
..well maybe, it is for Mick..I can dream

Haha.

I can see they have moved on but I think David is more against it than any of the other members :?:

ain't that the truth

Well, I honestly pray Mick makes it through this, and I hope as a byproduct some of the old friendship between Sylvian and Karn is rekindled.

And wouldn't it be lovely if they made music together again? (New music?)

Oh, and there's a gig planned in Italy too. Not the big names but the concept is the same. Only seen it on FB so can't post a link as such (as if you're not on FB you won't be able to open it)...

That Italian one was a bit strange, it went 'round to a few people but not the most obvious persons if you get my drift. That's why I've not plugged it yet - I want to be sure it's legit before I do.

I think it's legit - that's just my view - but, like I said before, it won't be one with a big-name draw.

^^^ I eventually found it - there are so many Mick Karns on FB - and commented on the status so if you have me as a friend there you can get to it (if I posted the link here then only people who are on FB anyway would be able to see it, n'est-ce pas?).

Is there any more word on Micks benefit gig, the cancelled date and silence thereafter makes me think it won't happen? Understandably these things are a headache to organise but the lack of communication is letting the ball drop a bit :(

The concert will be happening, people need to have a bit of patience and understanding; the event is being organised on top of many people's "day jobs" and other commitments. As an event organiser I know that you need a lot of time to do something like this properly, and when on top of that you have the element of persuading X Y and Z to provide services for free, then there's risk assessments, insurance and other legal responsibilities, and also making it all work with artistic types... I'm glad I'm not doing it!

EDIT - was asked to amend the message a bit to fairly represent the situation - when there's any definite news of a date it will be shared.
