Thanks. I suppose this is something I should really get, although I don't imagine I will watch it that much. I was there, though, so kind of the ultimate souvenir.

Interesting that it is being offered elsewhere before Samadhisound announce it. I would rather buy it directly from SS. I'll wait and see.

Ordered my copy last night, when I got the email from the Yahoo Group. Like Natsume, would prefer to order from SS site, but thought, - heck it may be like Magic Vox - if you don't pre-order you may miss out!!

Now I just have to wait until November... how!!??

If there had been a darn e-mail address anywhere on the Samadhisound site one could have asked them if and when they are going to put it on sale on their store... or just take the chance to let them know about it!
"Hey, have you heard your DVD is coming out?"

hmm USD 50 for a DVD that I may only watch a few times is a bit steep

I know this may sound like heresy but I will pass

aren't we all... :-)
I pre-ordered this and have a question. Is this actually a Samadhi Sound release? Because it has a cat.nr. of SSDVD; but they also say it's an import... Weird...

As far I am aware its a Japanese release and Samadhisound are just making it available through their website. Its probably just coincidence the catalogue number is SSDVD.

I wasn't expecting this to be quite as gorgeous as it it is. Shoko Ise is credited as both the artistic director ( I think) and the director of the DVD itself, and it shows. I remember thinking that the DVD might not be so great, as there were not that many cameras that I could see at the performance. Not only is it a wonderful document of an almost perfect show, it is beautifully produced. There were a limited number of cameras, and they were all static, but the editing, quality of photography, and Ise's visuals more than make up for it. The packaging is simple and elegant as well.

I was a little lukewarm to Swimming in Qualia that night, it was the first time I had heard it. It was very easy for me to reassess that, on my second listen, tonight. The visuals and the music are a perfect marriage, and it really is a wonderful, intriguing piece of music/visual art.

An added bonus (for me), I am 99% sure I can see myself during the end credits, as there are two, lingering, black and white, grainy shots of the audience leaving their seats after the show.

For those of you who skipped this because of the price, I assure you it is quite worth picking it up!
