Could anyone fill me in on Steve Jansen's spouse, Gobi, right? Are they divorced yet--because I'm seriously in the mood to claim him. Also, what about the other boys, what are their wives and children like? And, to what extent do Steve and David speak/understand Japanese? I'm working on a full year of learning it and wonder if I should introduce myself in Japanese upon that fateful day of first meeting them.

I've wondered the same too. I know Gobi is/was Steve's wife and they (?) have a son Jude but that's all I know about Steve's personal life. David, of course, was married to Ingrid Chavez and they had a daughter named ... it's at the tip of my tongue...Ameera Daya? That's all I know about David.

David said in an intervew once that he only knew the few words that Yuka taught him. I recall there being a link somewhere one these boards.

David Sylvian also has a daughter a few years younger (4 or 5) than Ameera Daya named Isobel. He also had a stepson, Tinondre' from one of Ingrid Chavez's previous relationships. Richard Barbieri is of course married to Suzanne J. Barbieri (If you haven't heard her stuff I strongly reccomend it! ) ... All I know about Mick Karn is he is now the father of a baby girl (I think from within at least the last 7 years... I don't know if he is married or not) Rob Dean... All I know about his is he now lives in Costa Rica and has taken up bird watching. (And will be publishing a book on the rare birds there) And we already discussed Steve Jansen.

I only know a few details on each one... Sorry!

I don't know much about it either but he refers to Gobi as his wife at his website (in the journal for the 2005 Sakamoto tour), rather than his ex-wife, so I assume they are still married.

Their little boy must be gorgeous, don't you think?

I know, but you can't really see him terribly well, can you? I guess you can see enough to tell he is adorable, though, and with his DNA I would say good looks are inevitable!
