Looking for Blue of Noon

Postby carolyc on Mon Aug 30, 2010 2:29 am

Hi fellow David Sylvian lovers.

I am trying to find a track called "Blue of Noon" - it was on the B-side of Let the Happiness In.

I have tried to find it online, and buy it legitimately but simply have not had any success - either the files are corrupted or deleted or it won't accept my credit card details etc.

I am reaching out to you all desperately to try to find this song. Someone from this site (Chet) gave me a link before but it was deleted...

Anyone out there able to help me please ?

Thanks !!

Carolyc, you will be glad you kept looking as it is a beautiful instrumental and well done Chet for sending you it, I stand to be corrected but I believe it has still never appeared on CD and for me is Sakamoto at his finest (strangely Sylvian doesn't even appear on the track)

Chet, without sounding cheesy, you have absolutely MADE MY DAY. I have Blue of Noon playing into my headphones and I simply cannot wipe the smile off my face - it's been so long since I've heard it and I just love it. Thank you again !!

Carolcy, hope I haven't misled you the track was composed by Sylvian but the piano is played (rather beautifully by the way) by Sakamoto

Dunno if anyone has ever seen the JAPAN VH1 documentary from German tv. There is a clip, during the Brilliant Trees sessions with Sylvian showing Sakamoto what he wanted, and Sakamoto playing Blue Of Noon. :o
