I'm pretty sure the song you're talking about is

"Voices Raised in Welcome, Hands Held In Prayer"

It has both David Sylvian's and Yuka Fujii's vocals on it.

It's on the 'Oil On Canvas' CD too.

no,no,no... there are no real vocals on this track, they were all lifted from real ethnic recordings. it's a co-write between jansen and sylvian. yuka has NEVER contributed vocals to any japan recording except for spoken word. she said the line 'my tin drum' at the end of the track 'talking drum' from the album 'tin drum'. let's keep it real here.

Very interesting - any online references to this that we may visit?

i very much doubt it.
actually, if memory serves me correctly isn't the line in question 'talking drum' and not 'my tin drum' ?

Thanks for the info. Lisa!

The reason I posted that it was David Sylvian and Yuka Fujii on "hands... Voices..." is because one of the most well-known people on the forum posted it in a thread a long, long time ago. I didn't feel the need to research into it.

Maybe I misread what this person posted, but I don't think so. Thanks for the correction. I never would post information that's wrong on purpose.

Didn't Yuka do the female vocal on "Still Life in Mobile Homes"? and if it wasn't her who was it?

Neither had Yoko Ono but she used her voice anyway for some songs....
