SotB. An album I can listen to all day long and not get sick of. I couldn't live without it. Having said that, there are many of his I couldn't live without.

Yeah Secrets is the album I normally put down as my favourite in the world ever, ever, ever.

Having said that, the others aren't far behind. Blemish is the one I have listened to most in the past few years, and as my avatar suggests, I have a soft spot for Alchemy

Welcome to the forum! I agree with you on your other post- It is so hard to pick a favorite! Secrets would probably be one of my favorites, But I love Alchemy too. I would say my favorite song on there is "Steel Cathedrals"

And yes Proggrl, I know what you mean about playing an album (or song) Over and over- I have been driving my friends and family up the wall with my music! But I could listen to it forever.

I agree that Secrets is probably my favorite solo album...but all of them are amazing. I am also specially fond of his collaborations with Ryuchi.

Yes, favourites of this type are simply not fair. There's something about that voice. Most, if not all, of his releases, I could listen to straight through and not find a bum track on it. That's a rare thing to find these days. Of course, he could sing about razor blades getting caught in refrigerators and it'd be the most beautiful song you've ever heard!

I was stuck between Brilliant Trees, Gone to Earth, and SotB. I chose Brilliant Trees, mainly because it has two of my all-time favourites- The Ink in the Well and Nostalgia. And Gone to Earth was my first DS album, which started it all. And SotB is just wonderful.

Brilliant Trees is still my favourite album, it still touches me and moves me in the same way after all these years.
This album allowed me to really open up and start asking important questions about myself and life.
Nostalgia still manages to to send chills down my spine!
This album has a wonderful blend of sound and feeling, it's both ethereal and earthy at the same time...

I went for Secrets Of The Beehive, but Brilliant Trees was a very close second - some of the songs on that album mean an awful lot to me but SotB was the first solo album i bought (of his) and is what made me fall in love with Davids solo work.
