I have not heard anything about an official release but it has been well documented that Hansa (Japan's original label) have a number of unreleased early demo's are they possibly going to surface?
If so, to throw in a note of caution, Japan had no real european success until Hansa rereleased Quite Life in 81 at which time Japan were with Virgin, Hansa subsequently raided the archives and released everything they could which would suggest there is little of quality in the 77 demo's
