last night, i had a question for Nick on Ask Katy @ http://www.duranduran.com, but some had beat me to the punch & it was answered by Katy , but anyhoo, here's the question & response :

somehow the question you asked wasn't like the one he answered. I've had one ask katy question answered... actually no it was two. But man she bit my head off on the one. None of the guys ever answered mine. She answered them and was wrong on both of them. I don't really trust her or her knowledge.

well could have been nick's faulty memory... or katy answered it and was completely wrong. As I say can't really believe things as being 100%.
The big story is that nick and john wanted japan to produce one of their albums back in the day. David wasn't into that idea at all. They all weren't on the same wavelength. They did record in the same studio or use the same studio at one point but i think the album info is not right...

I thought that DD were recording their debut, not Rio, at the time that Japan were recording GTP. I think I've read that before. Weren't both bands in AIR Studios?

I find it rather funny that Nick, if it really were Nick who answered, doesn't disclose any further information about meeting David. Bad feelings between the two, maybe? Interesting.
