That's VERY cool! I thought I'd heard every eighties new wave synthpop band that ever existed, but VIVABEAT is brand-new to me. Both the song and the video seem to be just one cliche after another, but somehow it still sounds fresh and unique. Thanks for posting the link!

Gotta tell ya, the dude who posted the Vivabeat vids has an AWESOME collection of classic stuff on YouTube! Some of it I've never seen before, others are faves that I haven't seen in 25 years... like this one...

Oh I just LOVE Icehouse. Now those are some guys I wish would do some new music. Love the Iva Davies voice.... delicious. I wonder if his solo album ever saw the light of day?

No doubt! Icehouse, I think, were sadly underappreciated. "Great Southern Land" is a truly unique, timeless and wonderful album, and Iva Davies is among the finest vocalists there ever was. Hearing his voice soar across the luscious soundscape of "No Promises" is magical.

As far as I know, his solo album has yet to be released. He seems content to spend time with his family and do the occasional soundtrack to pay the bills. I expect we'll hear from him eventually... but don't hold your breath!

Ooooh! I love Icehouse!!! My favorites songs are "Icehouse" and the song that goes "Oh, I can't help myself, when I feel/get? this way-I want to be someone else" --I REALLY like the guitar solo in that song!!!!

Icehouse is great---have always loved them too. Many years back during the "Australian Invasion" I really got into them, as well as several other Aussie acts.

ITunes has three or so songs of theirs "remixed". Some are okay, but I would like to get their back catalogue on cd if possible
