Oh, I'd love to see pictures!

I wish more of the style of the late '70s and early '80s would come back. I've noticed that leggings are back in every store, but I don't think those look good on anyone! And it reminds me too much of how I was dressed as a child, huge sweaters or turtlenecks and stirrup pants.

well up til recently Dave Letterman was the King of the double breasted suit!!!

I agree that Freebird is actually a really great song musically, and the guitar playing in it is just unbelieveable, but what has detracted from the beauty of the song is it's status as the Redneck National Anthem

Ooh! Call me naff, but I love double breasted suits. I particularly like the one David wears on the cover of Brilliant trees. He also wears the same one for the forbidden colours video. Of course, David could make a spandex lyotard, or an old sagging pair of leggings look stylish....probably!

I love double breasted suits too. Very sexy. I agree, in his younger days David could have worn a boiler suit and nowt else and still looked good.

But thinking about it im glad he stuck to the tailored look.

In other news I played my current not-off-the-turntable favourites Gone to Earth and More Better Different to my Dad yesterday.

He loved Gone to Earth but thought More Better Different was a bit weird. I wanted him to hear the sound of Mick's bass but he said it was so low he couldnt hear it! Maybe it's the sort of sound only dogs can hear!! Hehehe.

The 80's are coming back in Spain eh? Wish they'd come back here...

Another convert to Gone to Earth - the bloke I went on a first date with last night. I played it as relaxing background music back at my house afterwards and he loved it....although he'd never heard of David.

By the way, I ACTUALLY have my turntable working today, as I switched out my older receiver for a newer and better model that belonged to my late father, and I had in storage after selling the family home in April. I am currently playing the American LP called GTP, but not the REAL GTP, as this LP is merely a hodgepodge of stuff from that album and Tin Drum, probably haphazardly put together in the 80's by the record company for whatever brilliant reason they had. Some of the versions sound different though, which makes it worth having; besides, the songs they chose are some of my favorites!!!

Sonic, enlighten me if you have any good gossip on this one!!!!!
