Composer Dai Fujikura brings together top musicians for an evening of music which includes the following three world premieres: Dai Fujikura Okeanos Cycle written for and dedicated to the Japanese/Western mixed ensemble OKEANOS, a new work by David Toop and an electronic work with video born from a collaboration between Fujikura and Ryuichi Sakamoto*. These new works are placed beside seminal pieces in the contemporary repertoire: Pascal Gallois performs Berio's Sequenza (which was written for him), Toccatina for solo violin by Lachenmann and Recitations for solo voice by Georges Aperghis.
* Please note Ryuichi Sakamoto will not be appearing at this event.
