I'm Tim. I'm only 17 but I've been a huge fan of Japan since I "discovered" them last year. I supposedly look like David Sylvian, but if there is any thread of truth in that David still looks way better than I ever could

I'm not sure how I found out about Japan, nobody on this side of the Atlantic that I know seems to know about them, but I do know that from the first time I heard them I was hooked. I love all their records from Quiet Life on to their solo work. Call me a music snob if you'd like but I have no interest in their first two albums. No I love the class and artistry of their later work. I've probably listened to Tin Drum a million times! I also find the visual aspect of the band very intriguing. I'd always dressed differently from my peers and David Sylvian with his dapper suits and foppish hair just gave me something to aspire to, a style icon if you will. I'm not sure if anyone really cares but I did make two Japan myspaces which I mentioned in another topic. Today I finally bought Oil on Canvas and Brilliant Trees on CD and Exorcising Ghosts on vinyl and I love them all! I joined this website to learn more about Japan and I sure have! I love it! Well I hope to hear back from some other Japan fans, maybe there are some other fans out there that might not have been around in Japan's heyday but still appreciate them just as much!
