hello everyone i thought i would introduce myself.
My name is David Handy and I live in the North east of england.
I went to see japan in 1982 at the city hall and they were fantastic.
I have seen many bands since then but they were without a doubt the loudest and most exciting thing I have ever seen.
Mick Karn was awesome the way he moved around the stage was so cool.
There music has stayed with me all of this time. There is not a day goes by when I am not humming or singing a Japan song. My Favourite Japan song is Talking Drum.
I last saw David Sylvian in 1987 and that was a weird experience.
I had no idea what he would look like. Then a band took to the stage very casual like and the crowd started to cheer. After a few moments I realised it was David Sylvian singing! I loved Orpheus and Brilliant Trees.
The gig was A very Quiet, subdued affair compared to the Japan gig.
I also like a lot of Sylvians solo stuff.
I think Flux and Mutability is cool.
I love his version of Somewhere.
Finally, my favourite album is 'Polaroids'.
Followed by umm, err, all of them
then - Rain Tree crow
Oh, nearly forgot 'Titles' by Mick Karn.
So if anyone wants to talk to a Japan Fan, I'm ye Man.
Dave
