I'm quite surprised but I won a contest for Santa Barbara's Independent weekly mag for their local musician issue. It should be coming out next week.

Anyway, I put up a pic in my personal gallery. The image is what I sent them for a promo shot.

Cheers and thanks for listening.

Thank you. :) If I understood correctly, they will be posting the contents on line as well as in print. If that is the case, I will definitely provide the link.

Bravo and congratulations! I recently listened to the songs you have on your Myspace page, really like "Vignette." I like the sound of your voice. Is your music primarily instrumental?

Thank you. As for my voice, I do not use you my voice. All the vocal samples in my music come from my mac except for one song where I pitch-shifted and altered my own voice.

Yes, my music is 98% instrumental. I haven't quite got the command of metaphorical lyrical writing so when I do feel I need a vocal, I write short lines and have my computer speak them.

Heres how... just select smalldot's "profile" button at bottom of original post. You will see "view personal gallery" link. It is photo number one in which our talented friend is (may I suggest) channeling Jean-Paul Sartre? JP would have had a more caffeine-themed background though (of course standing in front of a modern Starb*cks would have been just so wrong)

Congrats good sir! Checking out your music now!

Thank you. I wasn't channelling Sartre, at least that I know of. Pretty much I wanted to most rund-down, industrial looking part of this small town I live in. If anything, I wanted to channel a Joy Division meets Skinny Puppy feel. :)

But nonetheless, you compliments are greatly appreciate. :)
