One/Take Five by Rodrigo y Gabriela -- it's a cover of Metallica's "One" on two acoustic guitars with a definite Flamenco/Mexican guitar(and yes, I know the difference) flavor. A nice little segue into "Take Five" shows up about midway through. It's awesome.

ok last night before going to sleep i popped 'dead bees on cake' into my cd walkman. I really listened to it this time around. It really is a lovely cd.... different... not as complex as most of davids music. Simply the entire cd seems to be about love in all its many forms.

DBOAC is GREAT for the beach!! <= you end up looking like that, though because you don't want to leave for the beauty of the music and crashing water and you can't really stay out toooo long down here. Anything more than 30-45 minutes and you're hitting lobster colour.

wow now i want to listen to it while lying next to the pool. If it would just stop raining up here long enough to enjoy the summer all would be good.

I love dead beees. But I particularly love 'darkest dreaming'. I love that image of intimacy, staying up all night while the rest of the universe seems to have fallen silent, and then the slow shift from darkness into the shadows of day-break. Its musical poetry that reminds me more of classical music than any other genre of music. It is as a great man once said 'pure genius'.

Well I suppose I was softening the blow for myself,
it was after all 'Madge' before she was Buddhist/Jewish/British, although not in that order I'm sure.
