Early Xmas gift to me!!!!!

Postby krausy on Thu Nov 16, 2006 11:30 pm

I decided to gift myself this year with.................

a keyboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

I now have a Yamaha keyboard, and hope to find some free time to expand on what I already know. I can now add this to my collection of instruments---violin and acoustic guitar.

Merry Xmas Krausy! Didn't know you were a playa, hehe. What kind of Yamaha did you get? Got any original compositions for us to listen to? Or perhaps an evening of drunken noisemaking recorded onto an answering machine? ;-)

hey Krausy that is awesome! I was thinking of getting a keyboard as well... nothing fancy... something to start with and see where it led.

Krausy!! That's awesome!

... Perhaps you could schedule Mr. Barbieri to give you lessons!

... And on the keyboards, too!

*SLAP* tee-hee, couldn't resist... :smt005

....................yep. Any time Mr B wants to come on over and "teach me" , he can!!!! heeheee
(that goes for Mr. Rhodes too..............)

My model is the Yamaha YPT-300, found it at Walmart, along with the Casio keyboards, and decided to try it and see how I liked it. I have played violin since age 10 and learned to read music. I have also dabbled in guitar, and in college took a basic music skills class during which I had the chance to learn a bit of piano. My Dad had a Hammond organ and he always wanted to learn how to play it really well, but life had it's knack of getting in the way of that happening, so, I am going to hopefully pick up where he left off.......... I think it would be fun and relaxing to play around and perhaps do a bit of composing.

Thanks everybody---now I just need some free time to get started. Doesn't look like work is going to afford me any free time right now until Christmas. I have to work extra hours this season planning for driver helpers etc so I may be scarce until after Christmas, but will do my best to get here daily.
