I need a new car!

Well, I still haven't heard yet what my car repairs are going to cost me. I'm thinking I'm going to have to tough it out with this car until I can save up money for a bigger down payment. I'm leaning heavily toward the Yaris, but I think I'll give that one a few more months and see if any major problems or consumer complaints develop before just jumping in and buying one.

Car update

Postby sheisnot on Fri Aug 18, 2006 6:06 pm

I spoke with the repair shop today. My car needs a new engine to the tune of $4700! Needless to say I will NOT be paying that. Looks like my car research must begin in earnest now.

I'll say it again: SATURNS SUCK! The dealership actually offered to let me trade-in the car on a new one. I told the lady I spoke to not no, but h*ll no.

EDIT: Since when was "h*ll" a bad word? Jeez, the censor on here is a little ridiculous.

Aw, I'm just kiddin!! :-D

The reason the word sensor is wacky is b/c I was just having some fun with it :-D

If anyone really wants some changes on it, let me know though!

$4700?!? Holy schmoley. I think that's more than my car cost, ha ha.

I suggest making sh*t come up as "shiitake mushrooms". :-D

That sounds like a typical Saturn scenerio. You have my condolences. Send that heap to the heap cemetery and gets yourself something else.

hhmm that is odd... my cousin has a saturn and rarely has any issues with it... in fact she really likes it.

One morning our Saturn just died. It just didn't start at all. It cost an arm and a leg to fix it!

PS: We need a 'Saturn Haterz' group!! :-)

This may help or it may not; I've heard brilliant things about Honda engines...like BMW's they are hardly ever faulty, (so some of my friends say). I don't think Toyotas are nearly as reliable, but I'd some research if I were you. Perhaps visit the Top Gear website (BBC website); they have reviews of various models on there, (UK).

she is buying a new car soon. Probably another saturn. She puts on tons of miles with her job so its easier for her to trade it in after a few years.

@krausy...Tinkerbell is a fairy and me loves fairies :-)

I hope she gets a good one. From what I've heard from other Saturn owners since my car fiasco began, Saturns are hit or miss. Mine was definitely a miss.

Oh yeah, sorry........................duh!!!!

As for your friend, i guess she will be okay since she trades it periodically. I like to do that as well, but if this Honda does okay, I may just keep it longer.
