I just feel like whining

I've got contact dermatitis on my face! Someone make David come to my house and make me feel better!

Ouch! I'm really sorry! Are you allergic to something??

... But I must agree, if Mr. Sylvian were to come to your house and sing softly to you in person... I think you would magically get better...

Best wishes!!

Still no David (sigh), but my face feels a little better. I think I'm allergic to the sunscreen I used yesterday. I usually use Neutrogena, but I had forgotten it at home, so I used my friend's Banana Boat sunscreen. BAD IDEA, I'm thinking.

:( Sorry to hear it. I think sunscreen is the stuff of the devil. Blocks out all that nice Vitamin D you get from the sun, it does nothing for your tan, and I'm not completely convinced that it's the sun and not the sunSCREEN which causes skin cancer!

Hope you feel better!

lol---you are funny, proggrl!!!!

I have to agree, there is nothing like lounging on a beach on a hot summer day, bikini on, adult beverage in hand, tunes playing, and the sun tanning!!!! I must admit I do at least use a SPF 8 or so, but I love a tan!!!!!

I'm as pale as death and like it that way. I prefer not getting any kind of cancer i can actually prevent. I am a total spf 45 girl myself. Problem is I can't seem to wear it on my face...makes my face burn and itch. And bikini... hell i'd only do that if i wanted to scare the neighbors! WOO HOO

Thanks! I never do more than 15 myself when I do it, then it'll be just the face, or shoulders. But I'm with you, that sounds like a perfect day - or at least afternoon - to me.

umm its also the people who don't use sunscreens that raise their chances of getting skin cancer. Plus too much sun exposure causes damage to the skins elasticity creating premature wrinkling. I saw this lady once in florida... older lady... she was so tan the only thing white on her were the whites of her eyes. She was so wrinkled and brown she looked like a raisin. And here she was telling me i was so white i was blinding her... i felt like saying well at least I won't look like a raisin when i'm old.
I am totally not opposed to short bursts of sun exposure... a healthy dose makes you feel better!

ok that's all the preaching i'm going to do

I'm with gods.
I love sun. I really can't live without it.
Sun is life , here in Spain, but I am very careful with long exposures. Sun bathes just in small doses and with a good sunscreen because there's nothing worse than a red tan!!!

Umm... I'll skip the sunbathing thanks! I don't like wearing shorts and T-shirts in public! Not even in my own backyard LOL!

Plus, I just reflect the sun anyway... Though it's fun to get a sunburn once in a while!

Well, although I do love the sun, I'm never out there for too long. I do like going for a walk on the beach, or I'll sit in my beach chair and listen to music, but that will be once every week or two weeks and never for more than an hour. But around here, the sun just can't be avoided.

I do try to be smart about it. Key word = TRY.
