I was inspired to start this thread in honor of Small Towns across America (and the entire world! After all, Manafon is a small town!) after visiting my new favorite place, Bell Buckle TN.
I was wondering if anyone would like to post about their favorite small town(s) where they are, what makes them special, and any information you wish. And please post pictures if you have any!
... I plan on visiting more small towns in the future, such as Adams TN (Home of the Bell witch) and Cumberland Gap TN (Smallest town in TN - 200 people) I want to try and hit all of the small towns in TN someday if I can.
Here are some pictures of my outing to Bell Buckle, TN:
A beautiful old house in Bell Buckle, TN. Most houses near the downtown area were built in the early to mid 1800's. Though many near the outskirts were built in 1900.
A very eclectic, but beautiful house painted Pink and Purple... Right by downtown.
Another cool house this time with a seaside theme.
The heart of downtown Bell Buckle. RC cola and Moon Pie's are a Bell Buckle staple as the official RC Cola and Moon Pie festival is held there each year.
If this isn't welcoming, I don't know what is... The entrance to the Bell Buckle cafe.
Old hand-painted street signs.
One of Bell Buckle's many logos. With the trademark quilt pattern in the background. Too cute.
A mural painted on the side of an old building. Bell Buckle is a very arts & crafts oriented town.
Me standing by the sign!
The entire downtown of Bell Buckle. The highest building being town hall! Population is 391 people, the city limit is only 0.5 square mile(s) (0.8 KM)!
