Does anyone know how many of "The Single File 1978-1983" numbered vinyl box set were released?

if I remember right, I think it was 4000.
my best friend in the 80s had it and his numbered copy is 3812 or something like that.
but I might be wrong... if I find his number I will call and ask. I'm sure he knows.
