Performing Japan?

Can anybody on here play a Japan tune on an instrument or sing any of the songs? I have learned to sing and play drums to Quiet Life. I even sang Quiet Life at a Karaoke event in my local pub.

Hi Japanfan!

Yeah, I learned a few Japan songs on bass! Here is what I learned... Sons Of Pioneers (Was my first one), Quiet Life, Gentlement Take Polaroids, Life Without Buildings, Obscutre Alternatives, Television, Adolescent Sex, and In Vogue.

I'd say the easiest bass lines I learned were Adolescent Sex, Quiet Life, and Life Without Buildings... I thought the hardest ones were the basslines on 'Alien', 'Visions of China' -- Haven't learned those yet!

I tried to work out how to play Nightporter on the piano once, and I couldn't even manage that. that's how much of a non-musician I am.

i'm impressed as well , interesting topic, eventhough it's been years, since i played the flute..but i wouldn't mind learning how to play "Life Without Buildings" on flute

I sang Quiet Life at karaoke I think - my memory is so hazy...I think I did sing it but sucked so badly that I have blocked it out.

I wish I had a drum kit - (sadly no space or money) because I reckon I could probably play the drums to some songs like Halloween and My New Career just through listening to them so much.
