This version of A Certain Slant Of Light sounds magnificent. :smt050

Since last month, listening to (and adoring)... the lovely samples of David's new album.

Also listening to his first 3 instrumental albums: Alchemy..., Plight... and Flux... pure bliss!

My recent listening seems to have quickly become heavily dominated by Alison Krauss and Union Station's latest called 'Paper Airplane'. I just had to get my hands on the edition made available at Target stores including three wonderful bonus cuts, all of which never should have been excluded in the first place - in my opinion. This fantastic disc will most likely keep my ears occupied until the release of Died In The Wool and King Crimson's The Scarcity Of Miracles.

Kate Bush-Directors cut
I fell in love with her music when I was 10. I am ...a bit older now ;-) and I still loves her work.

Waiting for it. :D
I've only heard Deeper Understanding and it's great. It's the first time autotune doesn't get on my nerves. And the lyrics... Blast! this song is 22 years old!!!

I was a big Kate Bush fan in the early days. Drove my family mad playing her albums over and over again.

She's another original artist and I'm glad to see her make a comeback. I wish her well.

Bucket loads of A-ha the later stuff, Foot of the mountain, Lifelines , analogue and minor earth.....
Absolutley great stuff, they were highly underated in their later years, Shadowside could have been a masive song for them,

I think A-ha were highly underrated as songwriters, Digi. They've released some wonderful records. Love Scoundrel Days and Memorial Beach. Think I'll dig them out for this weeks listening choices :)

This week aside from Died In The Wool, I've been revisiting some of David's earlier solo stuff...Steel Cathedrals, Plight, Heartbeat...I still think Heartbeat is a beautiful pop song and it remains one of my favourites from his catalogue.
