He's made some great solo albums, going from the 'cold' side of electronic music to beautiful soundscape albums (Metamix, The Garden, The Golden Section, Cathedral Oceans I, II and III) - has worked with Harold Budd, Eno, Andy Partridge and others.
The first two albums fit with the 80s electronic sound. On The Golden Section things expand musically and lyrically.
If you've never heard his soundscape music you might enjoy it if you like David's instrumental work.
