Let me explain....................I was watching the movie American Beauty last night for the first time (sad,huh?). Anyway, the part where Annette Benning is in the van driving and singing "Don't Rain on My Parade" when I realized what song she was singing I just started smiling and chuckling..................

Japan and David have FOREVER changed this song for me, as well as "I Second that Emotion" and "Ain't that peculiar".

ha ha... it didn't even occur to me as I watched that movie. Dah.... I guess I was so wrapped up in the story. And, sadly it wasn't the first time i saw the movie and i forgot what it was about. Double Dah....

For me also!! I listened to Barbara Streisand's version of the song a few weeks ago and it took me a little to recognise it!!!

Ask my coworker about me---she'll tell you what I do when Smokey's version of "Second that Emotion" comes on the oldies station on the radio(only station that we can halfway receive in our building--yeah it sux sometimes--hence the ipod--hahah)

I turn it up and close my eyes and bop around and smile at my coworker and say, "Listen to what's playing!!"
