SPANDAU BALLET are to reform to play at the launch of a Las Vegas development next year according to internet rumours which also place the band's fee to set aside their differences at around £2 million...

Now that is bizaarre news!!!! I mean it's good, if they do indeed set aside all differences, but still very bizarre news. That is alot of money in US dollars.

How much was Led Zeppelin offered, and how much did they receive?

Just wondering how it stacks up in the grand scheme of things. I did not know Spandau Ballet was held in such high regard. Great band mind you, but just trying to be realistic here.

The Zeppelin gig was a benefit, so I think they received $0.

It did resurrect interest in their back catalogue, and coincide with the digital release of it in entirety, and the rerelease of their concert film, so as a promotional coup, I am sure they are reaping a quite nice peripheral reward from the show.

No doubt!!!! Thanks for reminding me that it was for charity. However, I do believe they are getting offers to carry this to the next level, or at least do a few more shows. But like you say, they are already making money off this through merchandise/back catalogue alone.
